‘Throw In The Towel’

... Into our special collection points around our area...

If you’ve finished with any of your old towels clean ones, we would be pleased to have them for nursing our hedgehog patients.

Old clean towels are ideal for our little friends to curl up in while they’re getting better.

We will be publishing the locations of the towel depository’s as soon as possible. Please call back here to see if one is near you.

Thank-you from Claire Williamson and Patients

The event raised over 2000 towels and will benefit organisations to be named here later.

Thank-you everyone.  From Claire.

Scout and brownie groups want to help but can’t...

Every year the groups want to help with the hedgehogs  but because I am unable to pay for public liability insurance, Contact with the animals is forbidden. Earning badges is very important to these youngsters so I’m asking you to help me raise funds to pay the insurance by a quiz based on British birds.

The quiz is open to anyone and I suggest an entry fee of one (1) gbp or more should you feel able to pay more. As soon as I receive your donation I’ll send you a quiz sheet in the post (snailmail). Once completed return your quiz sheet with a self addressed envelope to the address shown. Tick the box to request the results.

The quiz closing date will be the 31st August 2009 and a winner will be picked at random from all entries received by this date. The winner will be offered a 50 gbp voucher to spend at Marks and Spencer or Pets at Home.

In addition to helping the scout and brownie groups, public liability insurance will allow me to go to schools and clubs teaching young people to care for animals and wildlife. I’ll be able to take in and care for more animals. Also, visitors can view the rescue centres and volunteer to help out if they want to.
